What I stand for
Take back control of your digital life.
Most of our data and daily tools sit with a handful of US tech giants. Convenient, until it isn't. I help people and businesses become safer, more private and less dependent.
-
Private by default
Know where your data lives and who can access it. No profiles or ad trackers, no unnecessary storage, sensitive data under your own control.
-
Open & independent
Open-source, European and self-hosted alternatives to big tech where they genuinely work. No dogma—just a clear view of your options.
-
Aware, not afraid
Online risks explained calmly: from phishing to everyday vulnerabilities. Always paired with a concrete step you can take.

Specializations
Broad where needed, deep where it counts.
Six disciplines that overlap in any small business, with one point of contact.
-
Cybersecurity
E-mail security, accounts and 2FA, security headers, and backups tested to restore. Plus plain-language guides to spot scams early.
-
IT infrastructure
Servers, networks and self-hosting, set up redundantly with open-source tools so work keeps running if something fails.
-
AI and automation
Replacing recurring manual work with scripts, integrations and AI where the time saved can actually be measured.
-
Web development
Fast websites and web shops built with Astro, MedusaJS and Tailwind—no bloated templates or plugin chaos.
-
SEO and findability
Technical SEO, local search and an accurate Google Business Profile. A great site only pays off when people find it.
-
Marketing and design
Clear copy, branding and design that match the quality of the tech underneath.
The approach
Three focus areas.
Whether you use the free tools or work with me as a business: everything here makes your setup safer, smarter or easier to find.
-
Safe
Phishing, data leaks and weak spots. Find where the risk is, then fix it.
- E-mail that is hard to forge
- Accounts with 2FA and proper password management
- Backups that are tested to restore
-
Smart
Less manual work and fewer overlapping subscriptions. Automation and AI where the gain can be measured.
- Automating recurring tasks
- Removing duplicate software
- Clear advice on what is worth automating
-
Findable
Websites that are fast, technically sound and easy to find.
- Fast, maintainable websites
- Technical and local SEO
- An accurate Google Business Profile

What this site measures, and why nobody can be identified in it
This site now keeps statistics on how it's used, with Umami on my own server. What exactly I see, why it isn't Google Analytics, and why that data is never sold or shared. -
Why I run my own cloud (and why you don't have to)
My files, passwords, calendar and contacts live on servers I manage myself. Why I do it, what it costs in time and care, and what you can take from it without setting up a server yourself. -
Why the first three IT scans are free
I'm starting a new service, the IT scan, and I'm doing the first three for free. Not as bait, but because I want to know the scan really helps before I put a price on it. What you get, and what I ask in return.
Who I am
One specialist, the whole stack.
I'm Calvin. I started out rooting phones; today I build complete IT environments, advocate for open-source, and self-host my own cloud. Working across infrastructure, code and security means solving problems where they start.
